Howto install Skype in the new Ubuntu 9.10 in one minute
In this howto we will show you the
easiest way to install skype on
the
new Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala. Actually installing skype takes no more
than 2 minutes. No need to add sources to your Repo, no need to open
terminal and execute 10-15 commands. Follow this guide and you will
have skype installed in a minute.
This Howto Applies Only for Ubuntu/Debian.
Skype is in the official source of almost every well known distro :
Gentoo : emerge <package>
Sabayon : equo install <package>
ArchLinux : pacman <package>
Suse : For Suse you will need this packages : (libqt4 libqt4-x11
libqt4-dbus-1 libsigc++2). After installing them (zipper install) go to
skype official webpage, Download the .rpm package for suse and Yast
will automaticly start installation.
and so on ... it depends on the distribution.
We believe due to a security issues skype is not in the official three,
so now go to SKYPE Official Site and download the .deb package for your
architecture (32 or 64bit)
1. Download
Point your browser to the OFFICIAL
WEBSITE . Download the package for your arch (32bit or 64bit).
2. Double click on the package and installation will start.
3. Click Intall
